Water Country Sublease Program

For the upcoming summer semester, Madbury Commons is happy to offer an assisted subleasing opportunity from 06/11/2023 – 08/25/2023! Water Country in Portsmouth, NH will have a large group of interns that will be subletting from us for this period (exact count will be determined closer to the program start). Units selected to participate will be chosen on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, and only FULL units where all residents intend on subleasing the 2023 summer will qualify.

We will be sending out a survey on Tuesday, March 21st at 10:00am for residents looking to sign up for this program. This offer is only available to entire units looking to sublet. Please take this time to discuss with your roommates to determine if the whole unit wants to participate.

Sublease Agreement

All participants in this sublease program will be responsible for completing and returning a sublease agreement. More details regarding the due date and this agreement will be sent out to those accepted into the program.

Rent Installments

If selected for this program, you (the tenant), will be responsible for paying us (GP Madbury 17, LLC) $475.00 a month for the months of June, July and August. This may be paid in one lump sum of $1,425.00 due 6/1/2023. Full rent payments as stated on the lease agreement will resume 09/01/2023.
All tenants are required to pay a $250 non-refundable sublet fee as stated in lease agreement.

Cleaning

The units participating in this program will be professionally cleaned when the sub-lessees move out, which is a service only provided to this sublet program. If you obtain an individual sublet not through this program, please note we do not provide cleaning for these.

Move-In Date

Tenants will be permitted to move into the unit on or after Friday, August 25th , 2023 but no entry will be allowed before this date.

How many residents are selected for this assisted sublease program?

50 residents will have the chance to participate in this assisted sublease program. To be eligible you (and all roommates) must have a fully completed lease at Madbury Commons for the 2023-2024 term and apply for the program. Apartments will be selected to participate on a first come, first served basis.

How does assisted subleasing work?

Assisted subleasing is when our company is able to provide a sublet opportunity. We are anticipating 8-12 units to be eligible for the upcoming lease term.

How do rent payments work?
